Tech to Market

Manic Mondays is a new event series. 4x a year, this will be the best opportunity for you to meet-up with other (smart) technology marketers in Brainport Eindhoven! We organize and host these events in close partnership with High Tech Campus Eindhoven.
The concept is simple. Each event we have two 30-minute (-ish) talks by leading industry experts operating on the intersection of marketing, digital and technology. We’re domain and technology agnostic, so anything goes. From Smart to Sports and Engineering to 3d Printing.
Your best excuse to leave the office at 15.30 hours and come back with fresh ideas the day after.
This first edition explored topics like ‘the impact of data in professional sports’ and ‘digitizing one of the world’s biggest marketplaces’. We were very happy to be hosting:
In a high-performance environment like UEFA’s Champions League fast, clear and reliable information is critical for making the right decisions. PSV uses multiple data streams and providers to gather information about tactical, technical, physical, medical and mental parameters. In this talk Ruud will explain how PSV gathers and analyzes all the information and, more importantly, how they report the key insights back to the (coaching) staff in time for the next game or training day.
Ruud van Elk (1988) started working as S&C coach and Sport Scientist at the PSV Academy after graduating from Maastricht University (Health Sciences / Biology of Human Performance). In 2014, he became the first team’s Sport Scientist at the club from Eindhoven. Furthermore, he is involved in PSV’s Fieldlab Football in which the club cooperates with universities and companies to develop innovative sport’s technologies and services as close to the sport as possible. Finally, Ruud teaches different courses as a guest lecturer at multiple universities and the KNVB on performance- and data analysis.

Chief Digital Officer and CIO at Royal FloraHolland
Companies old and new are faced with the same markets, the same consumers and the same technologies. Innovation accelerates when they learn from each other, partner and compete with each other. But disrupt each other? That’s so ten years ago! It’s time to disrupt our idea of disruption. It’s time to move from platform thinking to ecosystems.
Gerhard van der Bijl is Chief Digital Officer and CIO at Royal FloraHolland. Previously, he worked for brands like Koninklijke Auping, Reed Elsevier and Wehkamp where he worked on digitizing B2B and B2C business models. Together with clients, growers and internal teams at Royal FloraHolland he’s now working on digitization and transformation of the world’s biggest marketplace for flowers and plants.
