4 years ago, I was about to end my journey as Marketing Business Partner at Cegeka, a full service IT company. Despite the fact that Cegeka was rapidly expanding in Europe, and I had great opportunities to be part of that, I figured that for me the time was right for something else. However, one thing was clear to me: I wanted to stay in the B2B and tech scene. After some exploration, my next step turned out to be joining a small and specialized marketing agency: Tech-to-Market. Now, I can confidently say that the switch turned out to be perfect indeed! Let me explain why.
First of all, the people working at Tech-to-Market are great. That was already apparent during the job-interviews. These were not regular, old-school boring interviews. We met at a cozy coffee place in Eindhoven, had a nice chat about our shared passion – marketing – and just got to know one another. This ambiance is also reflected in the company culture. The people working at Tech-to-Market share a couple of values. All driven, dedicated marketers with a passion working for B2B tech companies. Besides work, we do a lot of fun stuff together. Such as going for a ski-weekend in France, check out the design week in Milan, join the Techfestival in Copenhagen, attend several marketing events, throw a punch during boxing classes, enjoy food during cooking classes and much more.
I have been lucky to work with a team of easygoing people, always on the lookout to help each other and share knowledge. Hard on the facts, soft on the people. That’s the kind of spirit that I truly appreciate.
Working for a marketing agency means having a lot of variety. There has truly never been a dull moment for me. My first assignment was as Marketing Team Lead at Rockpanel. In a period of almost one-and-a-half years, I became part of the Rockpanel team where we successfully did a portfolio launch, switched to an AI-based website, ran international social media campaigns, set up SEA, did extensive lead research and improved E2E lead management. And that was my first customer. After that I worked for Mammoet, Philips Innovation Services, imec, Dassault Systemes and TOPdesk. Doing everything from strategic advice to hands-on operations, and anything in between. Skillswise, I’ve been privileged to add an insane amount of expertise in the areas of marketing strategy, digital transformation and all kinds of digital marketing hard skills and – last but not least – soft skills. To me, one of the greatest advantages of the variety (if not the greatest) is the learning curve. It’s exponential.
My Tech-to-Market journey has been quite a ride. Despite everything this journey has brought me, it’s time for a next step. The main reason is that, while moving from one sprint to the next has been a great experience, I want to go for the long-run. Walk a marathon. That’s why as per March 15, I will join the Drieam team as Marketing Lead. Drieam is an EdTech scale-up SaaS company based in Eindhoven. Although education has remained the same for many years, technology is changing that. Quickly. Actually, online learning is now more important than ever before and I believe this demand will keep growing. I’m looking forward to help Drieam make a difference in providing the ultimate learning experience for this and future generations.
